Mark Ronson is creating a new kind of soundtrack for the Olympics by recording and mixing athletes’ sounds and noises, a fine addition to these great projects creating music in unusual ways.

I feel like if vampires listened to dubstep, this is what that would sound like. And I’m talking Queen of the Damned vampires, none of that Twilight crap. ;)

I can die happy now.
I’m so glad I finally have a friend that has good taste in music AND enjoys vinyl records. Jeremy, you need to come to Huntsville more often. Please? lol

Emotional Bag Check - Secretly a Music Site
I love this site. I love using the healing power of music to comfort others and to focus on other people’s problems instead of your own. I’m not ready to give my baggage up, but I’ve definitely loved handling others’ and sharing music.

Bon Iver - Holocene
Okay just give me a minute here.
I hardly ever comment on the music I post, but this is almost not music. It’s something else.
This is one of those songs that grabbed me immediately, and still crept up on me as it played while I drew, and worked, and drove, and lived.
This song doesn’t make me tap my foot or sing along, it displaces me. I imagine my experiences playing in some roughly-cut edit with this song leading the clips along.
I’m driving on the coast somewhere.
I’m painting something.
I’m laughing about something with her.
This is the kind of song that will give you memories of things that never happened.
Like that.
Bon Iver creates some of the best music for working, ever. As in, I could listen to them in the background while I work for hours and probably never get tired of it. I found a pretty close result with the latest Death Cab album Codes and Keys.

I got this beauty in the mail a couple days ago, and I’ve finally got some free time to test it out. I’ll be using Ableton Live and samples from SampleMagic.com to start on this new adventure. :)
